Job Description : Educational Qualification : BE/B-Tech - Electrical & Instrumentation Location : Kolkata Total Years of Experience : 7 to 10 years Job Description: 1. Design and specify electrical equipment, including transformers, LT switchgear, motors, and control panels. Select process control, low voltage power distribution and instrumentation system components. 2. Knowledge of developing basic engineering independently including communication systems, I/O calculations, system configuration diagram of PLC/DCS and SCADA systems. 3. Preparation of tender documentation including user requirement specifications/control philosophies, schedules of prices and budgetary estimations for procurement of MCCs, process instrumentation, other electrical equipment and various process plant and packages. 4. Prepare general arrangement drawings, power single line diagrams, control system architecture drawings and I/O schedules. Prepare load list and instrument schedules, cable schedules etc. Develop automation solutions for process control and monitoring. Integrate control systems with instrumentation devices to achieve seamless automation. Tender evaluation, tender discussion and preparation of the contract document in line with the successful bidders document. 6. Review sub-contractor drawings and specifications. Detailed checking of documents, control schematics, cable schedules, functional design specifications. Approval of the drawings submitted by the successful bidder or contractor to ensure that the product documentation meets specification requirements. 7. Conduct FATs for switchboard, MCC and PLC/HMI Software. Provide EICA input into design activities by others disciplines. Report internally on EICA aspects against budget and program. 8. Ensure all activities are carried out in line with QA procedures, General specification of Instrumentation, Design basis, Instrument Index, Datasheet of Valves, Instruments (Pressure, temperature, flow, level, Analyzer, Fire and Gas devices etc.) 9. Should be conversant with various types of Field Instruments such as transmitters, valves, analyzers used in Mining & Processing, Geology. 10. Should be conversant with Field Engineering activities such as Cable & JB scheduling. Loop Interconnection drawings, Termination schedule, Cable & Cable Tray routing & layout. Skill Set : Knowledge of HT and LT switchgear Electrical principles and processes Estimating technology and tools National Electric Code, NFPA and DGMS Regulations AC/DC circuit theory Knowledge of PLC programming software Preparation of engineering drawings using Auto CAD software. Any Special requirement for the Positio : Experience in mineral, coal and chemical process plant including experience in the material handling system design.
